I often create backing tracks for students to play along with, using Cubase or Chordbot. These are a great and enjoyable way to practice the sax outside of lessons. They’re good for trying out creative ideas and for working through technical issues. Each one can be used in a variety of ways.
I often use them myself for practicing or for generating new ideas or – in some cases – for a bit of a challenge!
I’m going to be posting various mp3 examples here on the roll-up, roll up, free stuff page for you to download and use.
Each will come with guide notes to help you make the most of the backing track.
